How long have you been in business?
Southern Title has been providing real estate closing and escrow services to Florida residents since 1995.
What is your primary product or service?
We provide peace of mind. Buying, selling, or refinancing real estate can be stressful - Southern Title's mission is to make it easy by taking care of all the details in advance. Our ultimate product is the Owner's Title Policy, which protects you and your heirs from any challenges to your ownership of your home or land.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
In addition to providing the Ultimate Closing Experience, Southern Title has implemented robust security measures to maintain the safety of the personal information we access in order to successful close your real estate transaction. We have successfully completed a comprehensive third party assessment of our security and compliance policies and have earned an ALTA Best Practices Pillar 3 Certification of Completion.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have 9 locations in Florida: 2335 Beville Road and 400 Seabreeze Blvd in Daytona Beach, 555 Granada Blvd in Ormond Beach, 440 Deltona Blvd., in Deltona, 1665 Dunlawton Avenue in Port Orange, 2298 Colbert Lane in Palm Coast, 14785 Old St. Augustine Road in Jacksonville, 2654 Cypress Ridge Blvd. in Wesley Chapel, and 8541 US Highway 441 in Leesburg. We are always looking for the right opportunity to grow our business and provide the ultimate closing experience to more Florida property owners.
What type of payments do you accept?
Due to the new FAR BAR contract language requiring collected funds at closing (as stipulated in the Florida Administrative Code 690-186.08), as well as the overwhelming number of fraudulent cashier's checks circulating in Florida, Southern Title will require all cash to close to be tendered in the form of a wire transfer. Our wiring instructions will be sent with every closing transaction and are available upon request.

We service the entire state of Florida.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Southern Title is owned and operated by Southern Holding of Central Florida, Inc. Shelley Stewart, CLC is President and CEO and handles all daily operations.

We are open 8:30 - 5 pm, Monday - Friday.
