Mission: Provide the opportunity for hope, growth, and change to people with I/DD in our community.
Local 501(C)3 agency providing Life Skills Development programs to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) living in Volusia and Flagler Counties. Diagnoses of I/DD can include autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and intellectual disabilities. Programs include social skills, adult basic education, and vocational such as earning a paycheck by working in The Arc Volusia's Dove Industries on area business contract work, shredding, or on-site jobs. Additional programs of Supported Independent Living and Employment are for people wishing to live and work in the community but still depend on some type of support or training.

How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
In 1962, a group of Volusia County parents of children with I/DD, formed a 501(C)3 association to provide specialized learning and curriculums while also providing social interaction with their peers. As other associations were developed for children, The Arc Volusia now serves adults over age 18 with I/DD.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Provide work to adults with I/DD willing to earn a paycheck. The Arc Volusia also serves individuals who are only interested in social skills training and provides programs and services based on their individual goal.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
2 locations, one in Daytona Beach and 2nd in DeLand

Daytona Beach - 100 Jimmy Huger Circle is our driveway off of 5th Street and Jimmy Ann Drive next door to Westside Elementary School. DeLand - 1738 Patterson Avenue is off Old Daytona Road East of Woodland Blvd/Hwy 17 and one block north of Hwy 92 (near intersection of Garfield and Old Daytona Rd)
